Micromax is just trying to get back itself with the new canvas six pro. Being a flagship device in their canvas category and its a device specifically for offline customers priced at 13,999/-. A revamped Micromax calls itself Micromax 3.0.
The Micromax Canvas 6 and Canvas 6 Pro both new flagships from Micromax comes with the same price tag of Rs 13,999. The two smartphones have almost similar sets of specifications with some differences. The Canvas 6 is the first Micromax smartphone to come with metal unibody and fingerprint scanner. The Canvas 6 Pro doesn’t offer the fingerprint scanner or the metal unibody design but sports with a matte finish and a removable back panel.
Besides the design difference, the Canvas 6 comes with 3GB of RAM & 32GB of internal storage while the Canvas 6 Pro comes with 4GB of RAM & 16GB internal storage. For external storage both of them supports micro-sd cards. The Canvas 6 offers a 13 MP of rear camera & 8MP of front facing camera and the Canvas 6 Pro has 5 MP of front camera with the same 13 MP of rear shooter.
Other than these, the two smartphones have a similar set of specifications. Both of them offers a 5.5-inch full HD display running on Android 5.1 and are powered by MediaTek Helio X10 processors.
To me, the Canvas 6 attracts me more than the six pro. A fully metal clad with nice design language it’s always nice to see. This canvas 6 almost looks like Huawei Nexus 6p from its back. These are the devices who are looking for a decent android phone with offline marketing tag. But for the money you are spending in online stores you can easily find better options like Letv Le 1s or the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.
The new generation of canvas phones undoubtedly a new era for Micromax with the new metal body and with better specs. But now the big question – Will these offline marketers be able to beat the rushing hype of online marketing and stand a chance to make their new name.
